With the recent influx of 'filthy,' 'dirty,' 'stinking' dubstep seemingly taking over the scene at the moment, there is one guy who is standing his ground and making his own style of grit and its far from you average wank out step, its the most brutal dark bassweight imaginable:
Lurka - Tempted
This track 'Tempted' forthcoming on Black Box's sister label Box Clever has been battered on dubplate by Youngsta and for good reason. This tune is an education in how to create serious atmosphere and then switch it up to 'grit ya teeth' darkness. Another riddem to check out is this dubplate, People Person which is a beautiful lesson in minimal bassweight construction.

There is no doubt in our minds here at For The Win that 2011 is most certainly Lurka's year, with two 12"s already confirmed on Box Clever and host of other labels snapping at his heels, it would be wise to start checking this guy out.
